One new postage stamp dedicated to the theme “Eurasian Economic Union”

The stamp, the first day cover and the souvenir sheet dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the businessman, benefactor, founder of "Grand Holding", an Honored Worker of Economy of Armenia Hrant Vardanyan have been put into circulation.&nbsp;The painter is Harutyun Avagyan, the designers are Vahan Abrahamyan and David Dovlatyan.The nominal value of the stamp is 1 000 drams, issued in 100 000 print run. 10 000 print runs of the first day cover and the souvenir sheet were printed.The main spheres of Hrant Vardanyan’s activity are depicted on the envelope: industry, agriculture and charity.&nbsp;In the 1990s with the efforts of Hrant Vardanyan, the domestic production was restored and developed in Armenia.At that time, “Grand Holding” was founded, and since then in the production sphere of Armenia “Grand Holding” continues to rank as the top taxpayer, the leading exporter of consumer goods and the largest employer.The postage stamp was cancelled by the Deputy Minister of High-Technological Industry of the Republic of Armenia Gevorg Meliksetyan, the President of “Grand Holding” Mikael Vardanyan, the President of “Grand Holding” Karen Vardanyan, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of “Haypost” CJSC Arman Abrahamyan, the President of the Philatelists’ Armenian Association Hovik Musayelyan.

On June 21st, 2024, a souvenir sheet with one postage stamp dedicated to the theme “Prominent Armenians. 125th Anniversary of Ervand Kochar” was cancelled and put into circulation. &nbsp;The postage stamp of the souvenir sheet with the nominal value of 380 AMD depicts the prominent Armenian painter, sculptor, the People’s Artist of the Armenian SSR and the USSR Ervand Kochar (1899-1979) against the background of one of his sculptures.&nbsp;&nbsp;The souvenir sheet depicts Ervand Kochar’s sculptures “Melancholy” (1959), “David of Sassoun” (1959)&nbsp;&nbsp;and “Sculpture of a Head” (1933)&nbsp;as well as the inscription “ARMENIAN PAINTER, SCULPTOR” in Armenian and English languages.&nbsp;&nbsp;The souvenir sheet also depicts Ervand Kochar’s paintings “The Disaster of War” (1962), “Self-portrait” (1936) as well as the inscription “125th ANNIVERSARY” in Armenian and English languages.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The souvenir sheet with one stamp was printed in “Cartor” printing house in France with the print run of 10000 pcs. The postage stamps also depict the inscriptions “SERGEI PARAJANOV” and “ARMENIAN FILM DIRECTOR” in Armenian and English languages.The postage stamps also depict the logo of UNESCO as the 100th Anniversary of Sergei Parajanov is included in the UNESCO 2024-2025 calendar of anniversaries of eminent personalities and important events.The postage stamps were printed in “Cartor” printing house in France with the print run of 30000 pcs.
