On June 21st, 2024, a souvenir sheet with one postage stamp dedicated to the theme “Prominent Armenians. 125th Anniversary of Ervand Kochar” was cancelled and put into circulation. &nbsp;The postage stamp of the souvenir sheet with the nominal value of 380 AMD depicts the prominent Armenian painter, sculptor, the People’s Artist of the Armenian SSR and the USSR Ervand Kochar (1899-1979) against the background of one of his sculptures.&nbsp;&nbsp;The souvenir sheet depicts Ervand Kochar’s sculptures “Melancholy” (1959), “David of Sassoun” (1959)&nbsp;&nbsp;and “Sculpture of a Head” (1933)&nbsp;as well as the inscription “ARMENIAN PAINTER, SCULPTOR” in Armenian and English languages.&nbsp;&nbsp;The souvenir sheet also depicts Ervand Kochar’s paintings “The Disaster of War” (1962), “Self-portrait” (1936) as well as the inscription “125th ANNIVERSARY” in Armenian and English languages.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The souvenir sheet with one stamp was printed in “Cartor” printing house in France with the print run of 10000 pcs. The designer of the souvenir sheet is David Dovlatyan. The souvenir sheet was cancelled by the Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan, the First Deputy Minister of High-Technological Industry of the Republic of Armenia Gevorg Mantashyan, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia Alfred Kocharyan, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of “HayPost” CJSC Arman Abrahamyan, the President of the Philatelists’ Armenian Association Hovik Musayelyan, the Director of Ervand Kochar museum Karine Kochar.&nbsp;

The postage stamp with the nominal value of 320 AMD depicts the renowned Armenian film director, screenwriter, master of collage, People’s Artist of the Armenian and Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republics Sergei Parajanov (1924-1990) and the postage stamp with the nominal value of 380 AMD depicts his collage “Variation on themes by Pinturicchio and Raphael” (1989). The postage stamps also depict the inscriptions “SERGEI PARAJANOV” and “ARMENIAN FILM DIRECTOR” in Armenian and English languages.The postage stamps also depict the logo of UNESCO as the 100th Anniversary of Sergei Parajanov is included in the UNESCO 2024-2025 calendar of anniversaries of eminent personalities and important events.The postage stamps were printed in “Cartor” printing house in France with the print run of 30000 pcs. On June 18th, 2024, two postage stamps dedicated to the theme “Prominent Armenians. 100th Anniversary of Valentin Podpomogov” were cancelled and put into circulation.The postage stamp with the nominal value of 320 AMD depicts the prominent Armenian painter, the Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR Valentin Podpomogov (1924-1998) against the background of his painting “The Last Mile” and the postage stamp with the nominal value of 380 AMD depicts his painting “Mea Culpa” (1983).&nbsp;The postage stamps were printed in “Cartor” printing house in France with the print run of 20000 pcs. The designer of the postage stamps is David Dovlatyan.The postage stamps were cancelled by the Advisor to the Minister of High-Technological Industry of the Republic of Armenia Gevorg Meliksetyan, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Artur Martirosyan, the Chief Executive Officer of “HayPost” CJSC Arayik Abrahamyan, the President of the Philatelists’ Armenian Association Hovik Musayelyan, the widow of Valentin Podpomogov Asya Podpomogova.

Aram Khachaturian” is put into circulation.The postage stamp with the nominal value of 500 AMD depicts the world famous Armenian composer, conductor and teacher Aram Khachaturian (1903-1978).The postage stamp also depicts the English version of the composer's signature, the logotype dedicated to the 120th Anniversary of Aram Khachaturian, the inscription “Aram Khachaturian” in Armenian and English languages.The postage stamp was cancelled by the Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan, the Minister of High-Technological Industry of the Republic of Armenia Robert Khachatryan, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan, the Director&nbsp;of the&nbsp;Aram Khachaturian&nbsp;House-Museum Armine Grigoryan, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of “HayPost” CJSC Artak Ghulyan, the President of the Philatelists’ Armenian Association Hovik Musayelyan.Aram Khachaturian’s compositions are among the samples of the world musical treasury. The UNESCO places the name of Khachaturian among the most renowned composers of the 20th century, and his “Sabre Dance” of the well-known ballet “Gayaneh” takes one of the first places in the list of the most popular compositions of our age.
